There are a couple ways to solve a quadratic.

Firstly, you can factorise. In order to factorise, you must:

  1. write the equation in the form ax^2 + bc+c=0
  2. factorise the left hand
  3. set each factor equal to zero and to solve, find the values of x

Secondly, you can use the quadratic formula. The solutions of ax^2 + bc+c=0 can be found by using the formula:
