MUN Research

ECPAT (End Child Prostitution and Trafficking) International is a non-governmental organization based in Bangkok, Thailand that focuses exclusively on the exploitation of children. Online child exploitation, the sale and trafficking of children, child sex tourism, child trafficking, education of children on their rights, and human rights reporting are only some of the topics the organization aims to address. In addition, EPCAT publishes annual reports of current projects and accomplishments in collaboration with other countries and partners and offers plenty of more resources on the subject.
Research is one of the most integral elements of MUN. It is the basis of your stances, speeches, and solutions, to name a few. The Secretariat, therefore, recommends that you consider the following points:
- Look into the basic information of your assigned country (e.g. geography, economy, demographics, politics, key events, heads of state, style of governance);
- Research the background information of your assigned country. This is the most essential part of your research. This includes foreign policy, history of the issue, core issues, stakeholders, local initiatives, international initiatives.
