DNA extraction


  • step one :disrupt the cell

  • step two: lysis - dna extraction - disrupt the cell membrane and release the DNA into solution by using detergents or enzymes to break down lipid layers.

  • step three: extract the cellular contents for analysis.



precipitation - is what falls to the bottom after centrifuge

pellet-opposite of pellet is supernatant- waste of protein
