Petals

  • Collectively constitute the corolla.

Stamen

  • Consists of:
    • A swollen terminal anther.
    • A slender supporting filament.

Carpel

  • Consists of:
    • A long, slender style.
    • A terminal stigma.
    • Ovary: The enlarged part of the carpel, which develops into a fruit.
    • Ovule: The structure within the ovary that develops into a female gametophyte and eventually into a seed.
