Basic definitions
Vas deferens - tubes that carry sperm
Ovaries - two small organs that contain eggs/ovum
Vagina - a muscular tube through which a baby is born, this is also where the penis is inserted during sexual intercourse and where blood passes through during a period
Urethra - the passage where urine flows through both males and females
Fallopian tubes - narrow tubes in which the egg travels from the ovary to the uterus
Conception - when the sperm and ova come together
Hormones - chemical messages that travel in the bloodstream
Cervix - the lowest part of the uterus, connected to the vagina
Scrotum - the sack of skin that surrounds the testicles and controls the temperature of the sperm
