Types of Care in Various Facilities
Acute Care:
Description: Acute care refers to the treatment of severe or urgent medical conditions which typically require immediate attention and intervention. This type of care is usually provided in a hospital setting, emphasizing the prompt treatment of life-threatening conditions.
Urgent Care
Immediate medical care but not life-threatening like for emergency care.
Ambulatory Care:
Description: Ambulatory care encompasses medical services performed on an outpatient basis, meaning services do not require hospitalization. Patients receive care and leave the same day, which includes routine check-ups and minor surgical procedures.
Behavioral and Mental Health Services:
Description: These services focus on diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders and substance abuse issues, provided in various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, and community centers.
Home Care:
