- racism is sinful because they violate justice
- racism occurs because a person ignores the fundamental truth that all humans were made in the image and likeness of God.
- Racism can come in the form of omission when individuals, communities, and even churches remain silent and fail to act against racial injustice
- Kind of because it can lead to thoughts and actions that we do not even see as racist
- In 1958 the bishops spoke about racism and how there was segregation with the Jim crow laws
- So people can understand how it affects today.
