Operant Conditioning

Three phase model which involves a consequence to a behaviour
Note: Classical Conditioning

  • Learner passive

  • Response involuntary

  • can be positive or negative

Three phase (A B C) model of Operant Conditioning

consists of three components:

  • A (Antecedent) Stimulus or event which causes behaviour to be shown

  • B (Behaviour) Voluntary actions that occur as result of antecedent.

  • C (Consequences) Outcome of the behaviour which determines the likelihood of the behaviour occurring again.
