Interpersonal communication: an exchange between two/more individuals who are part of a close relationship in which they get to know one another as individuals
Self-Disclosure: the process of revealing information about yourself to others that is not readily known by them
Rule of Reciprocity: self-disclosure between two ppl works best in a back and forth fashion

Open area: info that is known to us and to others
Blind area/spot: apparent to others, yet we are unaware of in ourselves
Hidden area: contains info that you know but you keep hidden from others
Unknown area: contains info that neither you nor others know about you
