2. Geography is Your Practice Tool

You use countries and cities to practice making sentences.

  • Key Verb: ESTAR (to be - for location)

    • Affirmative Sentence: China está en Asia. (China is in Asia.)

    • Negative Sentence: Nigeria no está en Asia. (Nigeria is not in Asia.)

    • This is your first look at how to make a sentence negative—you just put no in front of the verb.

3. How to Ask Your First Questions

This is a huge first step! You learn two types of questions:

  • Yes/No Questions (Pregunta Absoluta):

    • Formula: Start with the verb.

    • Example: ¿Está China en América? (Is China in America?)

    • How to Answer: Sí, China está en Asia. OR No, China no está en América.

  • "Wh-" Questions (Pregunta Pronominal):

    • The Word: ¿Dónde? (Where?)

    • Formula: ¿Dónde + está + [place]?

    • Example: ¿Dónde está China? (Where is China?)

4. Pronunciation and Spelling
