  • Glucose → ethanol + carbon dioxide

  • C6H12O6 → 2C2H5OH + 2CO2

  • Dissolve glucose in water to form a solution

  • Place it it in suitable flask

  • Add yeast to the solution

  • Place mixture in a water bath between 25-40 degrees

  • Fit air lock on flask

  • Reaction completed when effervescence stops

  • Filter out yeast
