Predator Foot Trophy Preparation

Skinning & Preparation of Predator Feet for Trophies

  • Feet are a crucial trophy component.
  • Make incision behind the leg, splitting the foot cushion centrally.
  • Skin leg down to the foot; turn skin inside out around the foot to expose metatarsals.
  • Skin each toe individually, cutting at the last joint so the last metatarsal remains attached to the nail.
  • Remove all excess fat and tissue from the cushion's interior.
  • Thoroughly detach skin from nails (without removing nails) for optimal salt absorption.
  • Salt the foot diligently, either inside-out or normally, ensuring it is filled with salt, to prevent rapid decomposition.
