ADMU ROTC Mission, the mentioned personnel serve “NSTP students by providing, along with their Ignatian formation, practical skills and knowledge through military training, relevant to their future as reservists.”

25 ROTC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

1. Saluting business: Always salute officers and superiors as a sign of respect and discipline.

2. Greeting business: Courteously address officers and upperclassmen with appropriate titles to uphold military decorum.

3. Always begin with sir and end with sir: When speaking to officers or upperclassmen, start and finish your sentences with "sir/ma'am" to show respect and courtesy.

4. A lowerclassman is always at the left side of an upperclassman: Maintain this position to signify the hierarchy within the unit.

5. Avoid familiarization: Maintain professional relationships and avoid overly casual interactions with superiors.

6. Never open a topic to your upperclassmen if it is nonsense: Discuss only relevant and meaningful topics with upperclassmen to show consideration for their time.

7. Always stand at attention when talking to your upperclassmen: Show discipline by maintaining proper military posture during conversations.

8. Don’t sit if an officer did not say so: Wait for permission to sit as a sign of respect and obedience.

9. Sidestepping: Use sidestepping as to move efficiently without turning your back on superiors.

10. Always ask permission before talking: Seek approval before speaking to maintain order.

11. Knock three times before entering or leaving the room: Use this signal to announce your presence and request permission to enter or exit.

12. Always occupy ¼ of your seat: Sit on only a portion of the seat to show readiness.

13. Sit erect; stomach in and breast out: Maintain proper posture to demonstrate discipline and alertness.

14. Caution your classmate regarding his posture: Remind peers to maintain proper posture to support overall conduct.

15. Always say buddy or mate to your classmates: Foster camaraderie and team spirit by using terms of mutual respect.

16. Always move on the double: Move quickly and efficiently to show urgency and discipline.

17. Avoid malingering: Do not fake illness or injury to avoid duties or responsibilities.

18. Always attend your duty: Be present and punctual for all assigned duties and responsibilities.

19. Always log in and out: Keep accurate records of your attendance and activities.

20. Always consult the bulletin board: Regularly check for important updates and information.

21. Don’t squeal: Address trivial issues responsibly within the team, fostering trust and cohesion, and report only significant matters to superiors.

22. Don’t make any promises if you cannot cope with them: Only make commitments you are sure you can fulfill.

23. Make your excuses reasonable: Provide valid and honest reasons if you cannot meet an obligation.

24. No smoking: Adhere to regulations prohibiting smoking.

25. Obey first before you complain: Follow orders promptly and raise any concerns through the proper channels afterward.

Chain of Command: Clear hierarchy where orders flow from the higher ranks to the lower designations—ensuring clear authority and accountability.

Unity of Command: Each position reports to only one superior which lessens confusions due to conflicting instructions.

The Chain of Command below is followed by all Philippine Air Force ROTC Units:

MILITARY ORGANIZATION - "A group  of persons  or units bonded together to perform military functions with definite responsibilities and duties assigned to each individual."

1. Department of National Defense (DND) - The Philippine government's agency, under the Executive Branch, which is responsible for the State's protection from both internal and external threats. Thus, is charged with the duty of supervising the country's National Defense Program.

2. Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) - The military arm of the DND which protects the country from external and internal threats. It is composed of three (3) Major Services.

   • Philippine Army

   • Philippine Navy

   • Philippine Air Force

3. Philippine Air Force (PAF) - The aerial service branch of the AFP, tasked with protecting the airspace of the Philippines. The PAF conducts air operations, including defense, surveillance, airlift, and humanitarian missions. It plays a crucial role in supporting ground and naval operations, and in disaster response efforts. The PAF is also responsible for training and developing air defense capabilities.

4. Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) - A major command of the PAF responsible for managing and mobilizing the Air Force's reserve units. The AFRC ensures that reservists are trained, organized, and ready to augment the regular forces when needed. In addition to military duties, the AFRC also engages in community service and disaster response activities, contributing to national development.

5. 1st Air Reserve Center (1ARCEN) - The 1ARCEN operates under the AFRC and focuses on the administration and training of Air Force reservists in its area of responsibility—National Capital Region (NCR). This includes conducting the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs, organizing mobilization exercises, and preparing reservists for active duty when called upon. It is currently headed by the Commanding Officer, who is also our Commandant, COL FLORANTE S BATERINA PAF (MNSA).

CADET DECORUM

1. Class A Offense - gross insubordination, callous disregard for other persons and property, willful breach of rules and regulations

   1. Ex: gross disrespect to superior officers, University personnel, or Cadets

2. Class B Offense - gross negligence, inability to follow military procedure, blatant di s regard to the presentation of one’s self while in uniform or civilian clothing

   1. Pointing their rifle or any similar device at any pesrson

3. Class C Offense - unmilitary attitude towards figures of authority on the part of the Cadet, unmilitary conduct while in ranks and uniform, unruly behaviour

   1. using obscene or profane language

4. Class D Offense - inattentiveness or a lack of organization on the part of the Cadet, an insufficient amount of professionalism within or without ranks, failure to comply with general instructions

   1. disorganized or incomplete uniform
