What is Flag Football?

Flag football is a fun and safe game like American football. But there is one big difference: you cannot tackle people!

Instead of tackling, when a player has the ball, the other team tries to pull a flag from their belt. When someone pulls the flag, the play stops.

Because there is not much contact, people of all ages can play flag football. Many kids and adults play it for fun in leagues all over the world.

The sport is managed by a group called the International Federation of American Football (IFAF). Flag football is so popular that it will be an official sport in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles!
