-able, -ible=capable of, worthy of:  Someone huggable is worthy of being hugged.

-ate=to make:  To duplicate is to make double.

-cess,-cede=to go, to yield:  When you precede, you go before.

-cide=killing, to kill:  Genocide is the killing a race or group of people.

-cis=cut:  An incision is a cut.

-ette=little: A dinette is a little dining table.

-ify,-efy= to make:  To beautify is to make beautiful.

-illo=little:  An armadillo is a little armored animal.

-ist=a person:  A typist is a person who types.

-ity=no definition; turns a word into a noun: Serenity is the noun form of serene.

-ize, -ise= to make:To alphabetize is to put in a-z order.

-logy, -ology=study:  Biology is the study of life.

-ous=full of:  Someone joyous is full of joy.
