Unable to use the restroom independently.
Obtaining Sterile Specimens:
Required when a patient cannot voluntarily void.
Necessary for obtaining sterile urine specimens for diagnostic purposes.
Monitoring Urine Output in Critically Ill Patients:
Essential for accurately monitoring urine output.
Critical, especially if the patient is incontinent, enabling better management and treatment.
Assisting in Wound Healing:
Used for incontinent patients with wounds, particularly in sacral or peritoneal area.
