Using Our Voice

  • The voice is an instrument that everyone has and uses everyday.

  • Voice is what we use to communicate with others when we talk and to create music when we sing.

  • Vocal cords are the muscles in our throat that open and close when we brathe, speak and sing.

  • Correct posture is important for singing. We must relax our entire body, especially our upper body, before we sing.

  • Posture is the position that a person holds their body in while standing or sitting.
