- British went into debt:
o Spent so much money
o Will try to increase tax revenue from colonies to get money back
What was the perspective of the colonies after it?

- Revelations:
o British see them as lesser than the people in England because the way they were treated in the army
o British were NOT invincible; lost many battles
o Resent taxes, no say in government

What happened
- A group of citizens gathered and began taunting British soldiers
- Threw things at them
- British soldiers fired on the people, killed 5 people + wounded 6 people.
