Project Scope Management
Scope	processes required to ensure that the project includes all the work required, and only the work required to complete the project successfully.

Project Scope	defined as work that needs to be accomplished to deliver a product, service or result with the specific features and functions measured against project management plan, scope statement and associated WBS and WBS dictionary
Product Scope	defined as features and functions that characterize a product, service or result measured against product requirem
Plan Scope Management	process of creating a scope management plan that documents how the project scope will be defined, validated and controlled Includes processes on how plans, WBS, changes and deliverables are
Collecting Scope Requirements	Process of determining, documenting and managing stakeholders needs to meet the project objectives provides the basis and managing the project scope Requirements include conditions or capabilities that are to be met by the project to satisfy an agreement or other formally imposed specification. Requirements need to be elicited, analyzed, and recorded in enough detail to be included in the scope baseline and to be measured once project execution begins.

Define Scope	Process of developing a detailed description of the project and product. Output is the Project Scope Statement
Project Scope Statement	Detailed description of the project scope, major deliverables, assumptions and constraints.
Work Breakdown Structure	A deliverable-oriented hierarchical decomposition of the work to be executed by the project team, to accomplish the project objectives and create the required deliverables. Lowest level are work pacakges
Decomposition	subdivision of project deliverables into smaller, more manageable components until the work and deliverables are defined to the work package level. easier to manage at detailed levels but also ineffieicnt and micromanagin
WBS Dictionary	Description of detailed content of components contained in WBS, including work packages and control accounts. For each WBS component, a code of account identifier, description of work, responsible organization, and list of schedule milestones are included. Other supplementary information may also be included (e.g., quality requirements, technical references).
