- Paleness

- Pain in shoulders, neck, jaw, or arms. Pain in either arm, lower left side of jaw, or lower/upper back.

- Lightheadedness, faintness

- Sweating. Sudden sweating without exertion.

- Cold, clammy skin

- Gray colored skin

- Nausea

- Shortness of breath. Worsens when lying down.

- Fatigue. Unusual fatigue without exertion – worn out after typical exercise routine.

m. In case of a cardiac emergency, staff may ask for assistance calling 911 or getting the automatic external defibrillator. The AED is mounted on the wall next to the double doors that lead to the storage room and Studio.  Call 911 using the phone next to our desk and simply dial 911.  The white note attached to the file cabinet has our address if requested by the 911 dispatcher.

n. In case of an evacuation, there are two main emergency exits from the Fitness Center. The double doors in the lobby as well as the door at the left end of the windows facing the playground. If you evacuate through one of these two doors, you will head to the right and down the driveway to assemble at the tennis courts.

A third emergency exit is in the far-left back corner of the strength training area behind the wooden sliding barn door. Slide the barn door to the left, exit and follow the stairs that go up to the left. At the top of the stairs you will head left, cross the parking lots, and up the path to the ballfield.

These evacuation routes are posted at the entrance to the Fitness Center next to the magnet board.

o. Browse the 7-Question PAR-Q form to see if checking with your doctor is a good idea prior to starting your exercise program (optional, located on the counter).

p. We ask you return all strength equipment to where it belongs when you are finished.

q. Our Fitness Center floor, and the Studio are not designed for heavy impact from dropped weights or equipment. Please gently set down dumbbells, barbells, plates, and weight stacks to prevent any loud slamming.

r. We have stretching mats available on the wall near the Synrgy, on top of the barbell rack and in the storage room.

s. In the storage room, there is more equipment for your use and please return it when you are done. Please do not take the items marked personal property(some yoga equipment and the punching bags) as those belong to instructors and trainers. If you would like to borrow a Lemond bike, please ask a staff member to help you move it the first time. See the Studio schedule on all entry doors for times that it is free for use.

t. All single station strength machines have a placard at the top showing the correct way to do the movement and what muscles are used. Look for the orange knobs to make adjustments. The Synrgy has movable carriages and attachments.  Download the App “LF Connect”.  Scan the QR codes for instructional videos or use the wall mounted touch screen.

u. Do not rest on equipment!  Be aware if someone is waiting for you to finish or wants to work in a set with you.

v. We also encourage a low intensity warm up and cool down to promote safe exercise.

w. If you are unsure about how to use any of the fitness equipment, please ask staff for assistance.  Please also take advantage of our personal trainer’s free 30-minute consultation.
