disc golf

basic rules

  • disc golf is similar to ball golf
  • tee shot is thrown from tee box
  • one goal: complete objective (throw disc into basket)
  • real goal: have fun
  • disc must rest in basket to complete objective
  • the person with the furthest disc from the basket throws
  • mark shots w/mini
  • order of tee shots is determined by previous hole score   * lowest amount of throws goes first, second lowest second…
  • no one tees off until scores are recorded from previous hole
  • any shot played from out of bounds is played from the spot it went out
  • call out “fore” if a shot is headed toward another player
  • never disrupt other players
  • any disc resting over 2 meters up a tree adds a penalty stroke
  • a player taking relief from casual water (bodies of water in bounds) must take their shot from behind the water   * no penalties
