3 Types of gland stimulation/ Interaction of Hormones at target cells
the three types of gland stimulation- hormonal, humoral, and neural
hormonal stimuli- endocrine gland is probed into action by other hormones
humoral stimuli- something is measured and endocrine gland activated because of a change in measurement
neural stimuli- endocrine gland is directly activated by a nerve pathway
permissiveness- one hormone cannot exert its full effects with another hormone being percent
synergism- more than one hormone produces the same effects at tiger cells; together effect are amplified (addicted)
antagonism- one hormone opposes the actin of another
