A bicycle moves when your foot interacts with the pedal. You throw a ball straight up in the air when your arm/hand interacts with the ball, with gravity pulling it down. 2. Look at the diagram with the spring scales. What is the force in newtons on each load? Each load is 2.5. Due to the fact that it's 5 but there are two loads, individually it's 2.5. 3. What is the difference between mass and weight? Mass is the amount of matter in an object and weight is the measurement of how heavy it is. 4. Do you know of any other invisible forces besides gravity? Friction by design is invisible. It generates heat and motion. Friction is a force between surfaces, the force of friction would slow friction down when the surface is rougher. The bumpier surface would be more rough and it would go much faster. What might happen if you tried to walk across the room and there was no friction? There would be no friction, and because there is no force to stop you, you would just be moving indefinitely. What do you think the Newton meant when he said, “If I have seen farther (than most people), it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” The ideas pioneered by other people would help inspire Newton into making his theory about gravity.
