1st Corinthians 2

Wisdom from God

1. Paul did not come to them as a wise preacher or philosopher, but as a witness to God’s actions

   1. Do not put faith in the wisdom of men but the power of God

2. There is a wisdom that is not of the people of this world.

   1. God’s wisdom that only the mature can hear

   2. A wisdom that none of the rulers heard, otherwise they would not have killed Jesus

   3. Only the Holy Spirit can tell us of God and his wisdom, not man

   4. A worldly man sees the things from God’s spirit as foolish and can not know them because they have separated their spirit

   5. But the spiritual man judges all things and is judged by no one; no natural man, that is, because what natural man can?
