Purpose and Scope of the Amendment

Procedures for Journal Replacement

• Section IV.J of General Order $11-017$ is amended to include the following procedural requirements:
  • Threshold for Request: A request for a new Company Journal must be made when the current journal has $15$ or fewer pages remaining.
  • Authorized Personnel: Company Officers and any members in charge are mandated to initiate the request for a new journal.
  • Request Channel: All requests for new Company Journals must be submitted through the Division of Breathing Apparatus Services (BAS).

Member Responsibilities and Compliance

• It is the duty of all members of the Chicago Fire Department to maintain a thorough knowledge of the contents of this amendment.
• All members are responsible for ensuring full compliance with the updated procedures described herein.
