Vertical Oscillation

Figure 1 shows a block of mass mm hanging from a spring and oscillating vertically.

Figure 2 shows a graph of the block's height hh above the floor as a function of time tt.

The block oscillates with a period TT in the range 0.8h<em>maxhh</em>max0.8h<em>{max} \leq h \leq h</em>{max}, where hmaxh_{max} is the maximum height reached by the block.

Figure 3 represents the block at three different times: t=T4,t=T2t = \frac{T}{4}, t = \frac{T}{2}, and t=Tt = T.
