Mr Jones

Characteristics:

• Selfish
• Controlling
• Violent
• Neglectful
• Tyrant- a cruel oppressive ruler

Controlling- He neglects his animals and they are often underfed. He lives in luxury while the animals suffer. He is irresponsible and often neglect his duty ton look after the animals. Has control through violence.

Jones’ neglect leads the animals to rebel and revolt.

Context: Represents Tsar Nicholas ll who had ruled Russia. He was powerful, unpopular and selfish. The communist party ,led by Lenin, exiled Tsar Nicholas and his family.
