CPR and AED

  • CPR involves 30 compressions and 2 breaths. The goal is to maintain viability until an AED arrives.
  • Adult compressions should be at least 2 inches but not exceed 2.4 inches, while child compressions should be 2 inches.
  • AED pads for children should be used if available; otherwise, adult pads are acceptable.
  • CPR Steps:
    1. Ensure the scene is safe.
    2. Check responsiveness.
    3. Call for help and get an AED.
    4. Check for breathing.
    5. Perform compressions and breaths (30:2 ratio for adults, children, and infants).
  • Choking: administer 5 back blows followed by 5 chest thrusts if responsive.
  • AED Use:
    1. Turn on the AED.
    2. Apply pads.
    3. Follow AED prompts, ensuring everyone stands clear during shock delivery.
    4. Resume compressions after shock.

Badminton

  • A game is played to 21 points; a two-point lead is required to win (or first to 30).
  • Serving:
    • Serve from the left when your score is odd.
    • Serve from the right when your score is even.
    • Serve underhand and diagonally, landing on or past the service line.
  • Hitting:
    • Smash: A fast, downward shot.
    • Overhead Clear: A high shot to the opponent's baseline.
    • Drop Shot: A deceptive shot landing just over the net.
  • The birdie is "in" if it lands on the boundary line.
  • Switch sides after your team serves and scores a point.
  • Always announce the server’s score first.

Gymnastics Skills

  • Beginner:
    • Tourjete: Jump from one foot, half-turn in the air, land on the other foot.
    • Fouette: Quick shift of the upper body with one leg extended.
    • Jump Series: 3-4 consecutive jumps (e.g., tuck, straddle, split).
    • Swedish Fall: Handstand to stomach roll-down.
    • Scale: Standing on one leg, extending the other leg backward.
    • Fwd roll-tuck or straddle: Rolling forwards
    • Shoulder roll: rolling forwards over one shoulder
    • Layout roll (log roll): Laying on the floor in an extended position and rolling
    • Egg roll: Sitting in a tucked position (knees to chest) and rolling around in a circle
    • Tripod: Hands and head on the floor, knees on elbows.
    • Cartwheel: Sideways 360-degree rotation, hand-hand-foot-foot.
    • Bridge: Backbend from a lying position.
  • Intermediate:
    • Headstand: From a tripod, raise knees off elbows.
    • Tip-up: Rock forward until legs are slightly in the air.
    • Backbend: Bending backwards until hands land flat on the ground
    • Spotted Handstand: Assisted handstand.
  • Advanced:
    • Front Handspring: Running, hands on the ground, flipping over to land on feet; Running, placing your hands on the ground and flipping over until you land on your feet.
    • Front Flip: Jump and rotate 360 degrees; Jump in the air, rotate your body 360 degrees and lands on your feet.

Swimming Styles

  • Freestyle (Front Crawl):
    • Flutter kick, alternating arm strokes.
    • Breathe by turning head to the side during arm stroke; exhale underwater.
  • Backstroke:
    • Flutter kick, alternating arms backward.
    • Arms pass ears, pinky enters water first.
  • Breaststroke:
    • Simultaneous arm movement: "scoop ice cream, bring it to your mouth, reach back for more."
    • Flexed feet move in half-circles.
    • Breathe every pull of water.
  • Body Position: Maintain top-of-water position for freestyle and backstroke; keep hips up to reduce resistance.

Volleyball

  • General:
    • 6 players per side.
    • Rotate clockwise.
    • 25 points to win, must win by 2.
    • Maximum 3 hits per side.
    • Stepping over the center line or making contact with the net results in a point for the other team.
  • Serving:
