Tectonic Plates
Tectonic Activity
Landscapes are formed and transformed through processes such as geomorphic, hydrological, atmospheric, biotic and human processes.
Tectonic Plates
Magma underneath the plates cause them to move.
Movement of tectonic plates
Converging- tectonic plates are being pushed into one another, creating mountain ranges.
Diverging- tectonic plates that are being pulled apart from one another, creating rifts, allowing magma to ooze to the surface and create new land.
Transform Boundary- tectonic plates that are sliding past each other horizontally, causing earthquakes.
