History Notes
}}Revolution: A overthrow of a political, economic, or social order in favor of a new system. Though not always, these movements are often associated with the use of force by individuals on both sides.}}
Types of revolutions: Glorious Revolution, The Scientific Revolution, The enlightenment (not really, but it encouraged many revolutions).
<<Stages of a revolution<<
- The Old Regime: The people who are currently in power
- Stage 1: The outbreak
- Stage 2: Moderate Reforms
- Stage 3: Radical Change and Violence
- Denouement & Stability
- The New Regime: The person who ends up gaining power
<<The French Revolution<<
The new regime of the french revolution: The sun king (Louis XIV)
Stage 1: The Outbreak
People in France were starving, and the King and the King’s wife were quite ignorant to see. Then the people of France got tired of it, and so they threw a riot. Therefore they started Stage 1, of the revolution. They went to the prison (run by the monarch and also showed a symbol of his wealth; etc,.) They freed the prisoners inside and they also created a major riot.
Another factor of stage 1 of the revolution (The outbreak) was also caused by the queen saying “well give them cake!”. This was quite offensive to the citizens because if they couldn’t even afford bread, they definitely could not afford cake. Plus, even though none of them were able to get cake, they would need real food to eat and not just delicacies.

Stage 2: Moderate Reform
In this stage, people took representatives to represent them and the things that were going on with the food and within the famine. This wasn’t really the most ideal method because the King and the Queen did not pay that much attention to it and they were really ignorant, and there goes into the radical idea that they have came up with.
