Recycling and Trash Disposal Procedure

Gathering Supplies

• Locate the silver tool chests to find large trash bags.
• Obtain two large trash bags: one for recycling and one for trash.
• Waste basket liners are also available in the same location if replacements are needed.

Collecting Trash and Recycling

• Go around the hospital to collect trash and recycling.
• Check under sinks for trash and recycling bins.
• Check other locations around the clinic for additional bins.
• Collect trash from all exam rooms.
• Locate trash bins in the fishbowl area, under desks.
• Gather trash from each bathroom.

Disposing of Waste

• Go to the front desk and ask the CCRs for the keys to the outside trash bins.
• Take the keys to the trash bins located on the west side of the clinic.
• Unlock the gate to access the trash bins.
• Dispose of the trash in the teal trash can.
• Place all recycling in the blue trash can.
• Relock the gate after disposing of the waste.
