Football
- A football field is 100 yards long from goal line to goal line and 120 yards long including the end zones.
- The end zones are the areas at either end of the field where a team tries to score in.
- There are 11 players on the field for each team at one time.
- A team gets 4 plays to try to gain 10 yards.

- The line of scrimmage is the imaginary line where the football is placed after each play and it separates the offense from the defense.
- If a player steps on the sideline in football the player is considered out of bounds.
- The quarterback is called the “field general” and he/she calls the plays, throws the ball, and says “hike” to put the ball in play.
- The wide receivers are the players on offense who run out and catch the ball.
- The running backs are the players on offense who try to advance the ball by running with it until they get tackled.
- The football may only be passed forward, over the line of scrimmage one time.
- The ball may be lateraled or tossed backwards as many times as a team wants
- When a defensive player tackles the player with the ball, the ball is placed where the tackle took place.
- In Ultimate football the ball can be passed forward as many times as needed to get across the goal line.
- In regular football the ball may only be passed forward over the line of scrimmage one time.
