Transversals vocabulary Geometry
Transversal: A line that crosses two or more lines in the same plane
Corresponding angles: Angles that are on the same side of the transversal and in the same position relative to one of the two lines
Alternate interior angles: Angles created by a transversal that are interior to the two lines
Alternate exterior angles: Angles created by a transversal that are exterior to the two lines
Supplementary angles: Pairs of angles that add up to 180 degrees
Vertical angles: Opposite angles formed by two intersecting lines that share a common vertex
