Proliferation Phase:

Remodeling Phase:
- Duration: Lasts 6 months to 2 years.
- Description: The wound matures, contracts, and scar shrinks over time.
Types of Wound Healing
- First-intention healing: Wound edges are approximated directly, resulting in minimal scarring.
- Second-intention healing: Wound edges are widely separated, necessitating a complex healing process, leading to more significant scarring.
- Third-intention healing: Deep edges are brought together with closure material, resulting in broad, deep scars.
Factors Affecting Wound Healing
