Management Steps (DPIUA)

1. Dilution and Decomposition of Swallowed Solution

   • Administer (MMB):

     • Milk

     • Melted ice cream

     • Beaten eggs

2. Prohibited Actions

   • Do not use (ELA):

     • Emesis (vomiting)

     • Lavage (stomach pumping)

     • Acid antidotes

3. Useful Antacids

   • Examples (MAH):

     • Milk of magnesia

     • Aluminum hydroxide gel

4. Additional Treatment (ST)

   • Administer Sodium thiosulfate orally.
