The Eastern Front had big areas and lots of movement while the western front had soldiers in long ditches and not moving a lot
What is Trench Warfare? Why was this style of fighting so devastating to soldiers on the front lines?
Trench warfare is when people in the army would fight in ditches that were protected by barbed wire. This style of fighting was super devastating to soldiers on the front lines because they had to hide in the trenches and they would have to dig everytime the other army would come for safety.
Why was WWI a war of attrition?
This is because both sides tried to kill as many men from their enemy as possible. They were not even just trying to take land, but to just keep attacking each other.

Unrestricted submarine warfare was when a submarine would sink merchant ships without any warnings. Germany used this type of warfare.
Why was the sinking of the Lusitania a turning point for the US entering WWI?
It was a turning point because the US was in a policy of neutrality before this war but now decided it was best to go into war.
What is the Zimmerman Telegram? Who sent it? Who intercepted it? Why was this another reason for the US to enter into WWI?
The Zimmerman telegram was a secret message from Germany to Mexico. It was intercepted by the British due to the message talking about offering an alliance to regain lost territories from the US. It made the US mad and entered the war.

It was a peace treaty that ended the war.

It was a statement that stated the principles for peace that could be used for peace negotiation in order to end the war.
What was the League of Nations? Why did it not work?
The league of nations was to prevent another world war but after 20 years there was another one.
What are reparations? Why did the reparations anger Germany?
Reparations are when some makes amends for doing something wrong. Germany was mad about this because they were blamed for everything and they had to do a lot of things like pay debts and they were not allowed to do specific things that they used to be able to do.
