- Melody - The main theme of the music. It is a progression of single tones.
- Harmony - The background music that supports the melody.
- Articulation - The way the notes are played.
- Legato - It means to play the notes smoothly.
- Staccato - It means to play the notes short/choppy.
- Adagio - A slow tempo.
- Andante - Moderately slow tempo.
- Moderato - A moderate tempo. Not too fast, not too slow.
- Allegro - A fast tempo.
- Vivace - A lively tempo.
- Soprano - Highest female singing voice.
- Alto - Lowest female singing voice.
- Tenor - Highest male singing voice.
- Bass - Lowest male singing voice.
- Range--The distance from the lowest pitch (note) to the highest pitch (note).
- Dress rehearsal--The last rehearsal (practice) before the performance.
- Call time - The time performers are required to arrive for their concert/show/performance.
- Attire - Clothes.
- Concert master - The 1st chair violinist in the orchestra.
- Baton - The conductor's stick.
