NUCLEUS:
The control center/ brain of the cell, it contains the cell’s genetic material (dna) and directs activities like growth and reproduction.
Mitochondria:
The powerhouse of the cell, it generates energy for the cell through a process called cellular respiration.
RIBOSOMES:
The protein factories of the cell, they make proteins that are needed for various
Functions like repairing damage.
ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM (ER):
Rough Er: Has Ribosomes On Its Surface And Helps In Making And Transporting Proteins.
Smooth Er: Makes Lipids (Fats) And Detoxifies Harmful Substances.
Golgi Apparatus:
The packaging and shipping center, it modifies, sorts, and packages proteins and lipids for storage or transport out of the cell.
Lysosomes:
The suicide bag center, it breaks down waste materials and old cell parts.
Vacuoles:
Storage units that hold materials like water, nutrients, or waste. Plant cells usually have a large central vacuole.
Chloroplasts (only in plant cells):
The solar panels of the cell, they convert sunlight into energy (sugar) through photosynthesis.
Cell Membrane:
The protective barrier of the cell, it controls what goes in and out of the cell.
Cytoplasm:
The jelly-like substance that fills the cell and holds the organelles in place.
Cytoskeleton:
The cell's framework, it helps maintain the cell's shape and aids in movement.
Centrosome:
Important for cell division, it helps in organizing microtubules and is involved in cell reproduction.
