BIM Training Program – Final Briefing (Feb–Mar 2025)

Program Schedule & Modules

  • Duration: 15 days (Feb 24 – Mar 9) + check-out on Mar 10

  • Four modules (in sequence):

    1. BIM Concept & Theory (BCT) — Feb\ 24 (1 day)

    2. BIM Modelling of Architecture (BMOA) — Feb\ 25{-}28 (4 days)

    3. BIM Modelling of Structure (BMOS) — Mar\ 1{-}4 (4 days)

    4. BIM Modelling of Mechanical & Plumbing (BMMP) — Mar\ 5{-}9 (5 days)

  • Registration & accommodation check-in: Feb\ 22 (10:00–11:00, Gallery B11)

  • Participants: 36 (training, assessment, accommodation, meals all covered)

Competency Assessments

  • Conducted via MyBIM online platform; one-time portal registration on Feb\ 28

  • Assessment dates & modules:
    • BMOA – Feb\ 28
    • BMOS – Mar\ 4
    • BMMP – Mar\ 9

  • Format: 25 MCQ, 70\% passing mark; result slip generated immediately

  • Certificates per assessed module:
    • Participation Certificate + Competency Certificate (issued after passing)

  • Total certificates: 7 (BCT ×1 + 3\text{ modules} \times 2)

  • Assessment & certificate fees (≈ RM\ 1000) fully sponsored

Accommodation

  • 29 places provided (twin-sharing):
    • Male – KRP • Female – KTF

  • Extras: pillow supplied; bring own bedsheet

  • Stay: 15 nights (Feb 22 – Mar 10); key-return procedure TBA

  • Tenants liable for any loss/damage to university property

Meals

  • Venue: Gallery B11

  • Normal days (Feb 24 – Mar 1):
    • Morning tea 09:30 • Lunch 12:30 • Afternoon tea 16:30

  • Ramadan period (Mar 2 – 9):
    • Non-fasting: same schedule above
    • Fasting participants: Iftar meal ready 16:30 (collect even on early-finish assessment days)

Daily Procedures

  • Report to QS Computer Lab (B11, 1st Floor) by 08:30 AM

  • Sign physical attendance sheet EACH morning (needed for assessment voucher)

  • Collect module book & sign material release list on first day of every module

  • When using lab PCs: scan QR code, log in/out via browser, save work to cloud storage

Program Site – “Anjung BIM”

  • Access via QR code provided; login uses alternative e-mail (not university address)

  • Three key menus/folders per participant:

    1. Certification Record – upload: participation cert, result slip, competency cert

    2. Job Placement Record – upload: SKPG slip(s), job offer/admission letter

    3. Attendance Record – file supplied by secretariat for your voucher application

Required Uploads & Timing

  1. After each assessment:
    • Result slip (PDF)
    • Later, official competency certificate (PDF)

  2. After graduation (Jul–Aug 2025):
    • SKPG 1.0 slip (status: EMPLOYED) or later SKPG 2.0 update
    • Job offer letter OR postgraduate admission letter

Participant Responsibilities

  • Attend all sessions punctually & sign attendance

  • Sit for and pass all three competency assessments

  • Upload required documents to Anjung BIM promptly

  • Secure employment or further-study placement and provide proof

  • Maintain room & university property; settle any damages
