Stage 3: When society is thoroughly industrialised, birth and death rates decline, and life expectancy continues to increase (e.g., current Mexico).
Stage 4: Post-industrial era with low birth and death rates, healthier and longer-living people, leading to population stability or even decline (e.g., current Sweden).
