Photoshop Interface
Components of the interface include:
Menu Bar: Contains main options like File, Edit, Image, Layer, etc.
Tool Bar: Houses essential tools for selection, painting, cropping, etc.
Document Name: Displays the current document name.
Work Area: The area where editing and work occurs (includes open documents).
Status Bar: Shows document status, zoom level, and color mode.
Rulers: Used for precise positioning of elements.
Key Components of the Interface
Menu Bar
Displays options such as:
PS File, Edit, Image, Layer, Type, Select, Filter, 3D, View, Window, Help.
Essential for navigating through Photoshop functions.
Tool Bar (Tools Panel)
Contains various tools including:
Move, Marquee, Lasso, Quick Selection, Crop
Eye Dropper, Healing Brush, Paintbrush, Clone Stamp
History Brush, Eraser, Gradient, Blur, Dodge, Pen, Type
Path Selection, Rectangle, Hand, Zoom.
Critical for executing different editing tasks.
Property Bar
Displays options depending on the selected tool.
Can be customized to show specific properties related to actions being performed.
Document Work Area
Comprises:
Application toolbar, the currently open document, and any page sorters.
Allows for actions like adding, deleting, and rearranging pages.
Document Name and Status Bar
Document Name: Indicates the title of the current work document and shows zoom level.
Document Status: Can be customized to show information like document size or print size.
Layer Panel
A fundamental feature for creating and manipulating multiple layers within a single image:
Layers can be edited independently and can overlap.
Use for organizing different elements of the project.
Windows Panels
Allows navigation through various functions and tools:
Includes panels like Adjustments, Brush Presets, Color, Histogram, Layers, Properties, etc.
Users can create custom workspaces by rearranging panels.
Rulers
Use Ruler tool for precise element placement.
Can drag lines or click Clear to remove guide lines.
