Gathering God’s people: Praise, Remembering, Warning
Make Music in Praise
To sing to God as our strength
To sing a psalm and play a tambourine or a harp
To blow the trumpet on a new moon on a day of feast
Recognizing God’s Works
Remembering how Joseph was directed into Egypt, a land he did not know well
God delivered Joseph out of his misery
Delivered from prison and burden
His people called to him for help and he delivered and tested them
Hear and Listen to God
Listen to God as he speaks
There will be no other gods among them
He is the Lord of them
Ask and they shall receive if they listen
“Open thy mouth wide and I will fill it”
The others did not listen to him so he let lust fill their hearts and do their own thing
If they had listened to him, Israel’s enemies would have fallen by his hand
The Lord’s enemies would have submitted themselves to him but now they live on in rebellion
He would have fed his people with the finest wheat and honey for their satisfaction if they listened. But they didn’t
