  • Instructive phrases require placing direct object pronouns (DOPs) at the end of positive commands.

• Escribe acento:

  • Place an accent on the 3rd to last vowel in the command form.

• Ejemplos:

  • preparar los chiles → prepáralos:

    • Meaning: "prepare them".

  • leer el libro → léelo:

    • Meaning: "read it".

  • apagar la tele → apágala:

    • Meaning: "turn it off".

  • decir la verdad → dila:

    • Meaning: "say it".

• Mandatos con pronombres directos:

  • Direct object pronouns are not necessary for irregular commands or those with one syllable.
