Hypoperfusion

  • Inability of the body to circulate adequate blood, which is needed to supply oxygen and nutrients to cells.

Hypovolemic Shock

  • Hypoperfusion resulting from blood loss.

Hypoxia

  • Lack of oxygen in body tissue.

Ischemia

  • Lack of supply of oxygenated blood to an area of the body.

Neurogenic Shock

  • Hypoperfusion caused by a spinal cord injury.
  • Results in:
    • Systemic vasodilation
    • Nerve paralysis

Obesity

  • Condition of having too much body fat.

Obstructive Shock

  • Hypoperfusion due to conditions that block blood flow.

Parietal Pain

  • Localized, intense pain.
  • Arises from the parietal peritoneum.
