Sin and Salvation

The Beginning of Creation
  • Genesis 1:1: "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

  • John 1:3: "Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made."

  • Colossians 1:16: "All things have been created through him and for him."

Key Points:

  • The earth and humanity had a beginning, created by God.

  • God declared creation "good" at every phase.

  • It was "not good" for Adam to be alone, so God created Eve.

Command to Humanity:

  • God gave Adam and Eve everything to enjoy except the fruit of the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil."

The Fall and Its Consequences

The Fatal Decision:

  • Adam and Eve disobeyed God's one command, bringing sin and inner corruption into humanity.

  • This sin was passed down through generations.

God's Plan of Salvation:

  • Began in the Garden of Eden.

  • The Bible's central story is God’s plan to deliver humanity from the power of sin and evil.
