Galatians 1

  1. Paul sends his greetings to the Galatian Church

  2. Paul is surprised that the church is so quickly turning away from Christ

    1. They were going away from the calling of Christ to a different gospel

    2. A gospel that is illegitimate, troubling, and twisting Jesus’ gospel

  3. Paul says that if ANYONE, even an angel in heaven, tells of a gospel different than the one Jesus brought, he is CURSED

    1. Islam and Mormonism

    2. Paul is saying this as a servant of God first and foremost

    3. As this gospel was brought to Paul by no man other than Jesus Christ as a revelation from God

  4. Paul was taught the true gospel by Jesus Christ

    1. It could only have come from Jesus because Paul was a persecutor of Christians before. So if a simple man told him, then he would have just had them killed. But this was the Jesus. Not just a man.

    2. And he was already a Christian for 3 years before he met any of the apostles
