Human Geography

Types of Maps
  • Reference Maps:
    • Show landforms and places.
    • Physical Map: Displays natural landmarks (e.g. mountains, rivers).
    • Political Map: Shows political boundaries (e.g. countries, cities).
  • Thematic Maps:
    • Display specific themes or data about an area.
    • Cartogram: Transforms space to show statistical data (e.g. population).
    • Choropleth Map: Uses shading to show statistical data.
