  • Cotton requires lots of pesticides & freshwater

  • Polyester ade from fosil fuels = Non-biodegradeable

  • Hazardous chemicals impacts workers & environment

  • Textiles has high use of microplastics

  • Each discipline fills a knowledge gap left by another discipline

  • Opening to learning from others, acknowledges uncertainy

Not all questions require Interdisciplinary-

  • Some problems are best tackled with single disciplibne 

  • Depth in a field is sometimes the right approach
