Meeting Notes
Bill of Materials
- Confirmation needed if everything past the breaker is included in the bill of materials.
Updated Submittal
- An updated submittal should be available this week.
Scope Clarification
- The team will handle everything within the specified red box.
Roof Layout and Gravity Vent
Need to determine when the updated gravity vent layout will be available on the plan.
The current design is backlogged.
A screenshot has been sent, but a full set revision of vent locations is expected around Thursday.
SMUD Application
Submit approval to build application to SMUD with Econ one documents.
If SMUD rejects, the EOR will need to produce kilowatt hour calculations.
The team felt comfortable moving forward based on Title 24 company's assessment, believing they would be within compliance.
Confirmation is needed on whether the application has been submitted.
The application was initiated early due to potentially long processing times.
Confidence in moving forward was based on the total consumption estimate from Title 24 reports being much greater than the Title 24 solar production requirement.
Carport Submittal
Final design and plan check submittal are on hold until the carport sub is released for engineering.
Carport height, column spacing, and paint finish are required.
The engineer was recently out but has returned, and the information is expected soon.
Schedule Confirmation
- Confirmed total on the schedule received.
AHA Plan Review Times
AHA plan review times were inquired about, but no response received yet.
Over-the-counter permits for regular solar are promising, but carport involvement complicates things.
A conservative estimate of four months should be allocated for plan check, as carport plan checks can take up to eight months in some jurisdictions.
The project is in the city of Folsom.
Submitting a partial upfront is not recommended based on past experiences with them; it's better to submit everything in one package.
Carport RFI
The main factor holding progress is the carport RFI.
Design changes based on the confirmed height will influence the final design and cost.
A significant height change (e.g., from 9 feet to 15 feet) will impact pricing.
Once the carport details are confirmed, engineering will proceed, and potential cost impacts will be assessed.
Discussion about change orders and avoiding them if possible.
Clarification needed on whether the assumed nine-foot height is from finished grade to the bottom of the roof.
Miscellaneous
- An eleven-second video of a person being pushed over is being sent to the police department at their request, after confirming that the person involved is okay with it. This will be followed by additional materials for the District Attorney.
