Chapter 1

I dashed through the echoing halls, my heart pounding with each step as I sought to evade the monstrous horror hot on my heels.

Cursed thoughts raced through my mind as I found myself trapped in a dead-end, the creature's furious roars growing closer by the second. Gripping my dagger tightly, I prayed it would be enough to fend off the looming threat.

With every roar, regret gnawed at my conscience. "Why did I ever venture into this damned maze?" I cursed silently, the walls seemingly closing in around me.

In a split-second, our eyes met, and the creature charged with unrestrained fury. With a desperate thrust, I drove my dagger into its flesh, my weary limbs trembling with exertion.

The monster backed off momentarily before lunging once more, its jaws ready to strike. Summoning the last shreds of my strength, I thrust the blade into its gaping maw, a desperate bid for survival.

Thrown aside by it's inhumane stength, I struggled to maintain focus, my senses spinning. Through my blurred vision, I watched as the creature advanced, its movements deliberate, as though it was enjoying the torment it gave me.

Defeated yet i was still clinging on to the hope of survival, I braced myself for the final onslaught, a silent prayer escaping my lips. "If there's any mercy left in this world," I whispered, "please.... spare me from death ."

Then, with a sickening crack, the creature's jaws closed...

With a gasp, I regained consciousness, my chest heaving as I sucked in gulps of air. Blinking rapidly, I found myself sprawled on lush grass, beneath a clear sky.

Confusion clouded my mind as I struggled to make sense of my surroundings.

‘where am i…’ i thought as I attempted to make sense of my surroundings. To my side stood a fountain, its crystalline waters sparkling in the sunlight. With a sense of panic, I stumbled towards it, my heart pounding.

As I leaned over the fountain, I caught sight of a reflection in the water. My breath hitched, my eyes widened, but words failed me. There was a face staring back at me, but it was not my own.

A young boy with golden locks cascading around his shoulders and eyes as blue as the sky itself. I could only stare, my mind struggling to comprehend the impossible.

I touched my face, then looked at the boy in the reflection doing the same. "Where am I and why do I look like this?" I wondered, examining the reflection closely. It was as if I had been transported to another time, another place.

The clothing I wore was unfamiliar, resembling garments from ancient Greek myths. I ran my hands over the strange attire, each touch confirming the reality of my situation. "What on earth am I wearing?" I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper.

A sudden brilliance engulfed the sky. A blinding light descended from above, casting long shadows across the landscape.

I shielded my eyes, squinting against the radiance.

‘What the heck is it this time??’
